Hospitable and attentive staff and wonderful hotel.
What a very enjoyable stay, no complaints whatsoever. The hotel with neat rooms, in a historic area, in the heart of the historical part of the city. Good choice of options for fresh made breakfast. Excellent location, 10 minutes' walk to Basilica Cistern.

Friendly and helpful personnel
The shower was not practical at all. The elevator too small.could not use my credit card without a pin, had to pay cash. The exchange rate used had nothing to do with thr real rate at the time of payment. I was excessively over-charged (by about $40).

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good but the room for two was so small you can hardly move in it. In addition, the tv has no English channels.
Location is perfect to visit all the attraction of the old city

Meddusa Hotel is located in superlative position from Istanbul main tourists attractions. The rooms are very clean and they have the type of breakfast you need to walk the whole day. If your plan to visit the city for a short brake then I'll advice to stay there. But if you want to live Istanbul and compromise with the distance from Haja Sofia and the Topkapi Palace, then move to Beyoglu or Taksim square, Turkish people prefere this part of the city.
Rooms are small (even for only sleeping) and the staff can hardly understand a complex English sentence.

It was in a very convenient location, with only 5-7 mins away from Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean.
The rooms were old and the shower did not have a curtain. Sound proof is not the best, you can hear other guests walking in the corridors. However, this is a perfect hotel for budget travellers and it's quite safe.
